Sugar Loaf, cable car
The Sugar Loaf complex, located in Rio de Janeiro, is formed by the Sugar Loaf hill, the Urca hill and the Babilon hill. The beautiful profile of its rocky formation, surrounded by the waters of the Guanabara Bay, constitutes a natural artwork, being an international touristic reference for the city by itself. As a complementary attraction, there is the cable car trip, connecting the Praia Vermelha and the Urca Hill to the Sugar Loaf. This system is in operation since 1912.Photo: David Rego/LUME
